Sargodha: In Punjab’s Sargodha district, a police head constable allegedly occupied a widow’s residential plot and began unauthorized construction on it. Taking notice of the incident, RPO Muhammad Shehzad Asif Khan has registered a case against the land grabbers.
According to details, Ammara Saeed — the widow of renowned University of Sargodha Mass Communication professor, the late Prof. Ejaz Ahmad Bhatti — filed a complaint with the police. In her application, she stated that after her husband’s passing, she used the financial benefits received to purchase a properly registered 10-marla residential plot in Mohafiz Town, Sargodha, and has all the legal documentation to prove ownership.
She claimed that some time ago, she discovered that illegal construction had begun on her plot. When she visited the site with her father, they found that an on-duty police head constable, Muhammad Asif Qazi, was carrying out the work. The officer boldly claimed that he had purchased the plot from another citizen, asserting that the plot belonged to him and that he had paid for it.
