Modi’s government is facing embarrassment not only on the global stage but also intense criticism from opposition parties and the public within India

(Web Desk): US President Donald Trump has once again rejected the possibility of any trade negotiations with India, creating further difficulties for Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
According to international news agencies, while speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, President Trump stated that no progress can be made on a trade deal with India until the issue of tariffs is resolved.
This statement comes at a time when the US recently imposed an additional 25% import tariff on Indian goods, bringing the total American tariff rate on Indian products to 50%.
As a result, Modi’s government is facing embarrassment not only on the global stage but also intense criticism from opposition parties and the public within India.
Even Modi’s supporters have gone silent during this time. Previously, they had been spreading the narrative that Modi would soon persuade his “friend” Trump. However, Trump’s outright refusal to proceed with a trade deal until the tariff dispute is settled has dashed those hopes and undermined the ongoing propaganda.
