In DG Khan, at Taunsa point, low-lying riverine areas have been submerged, affecting more than 70 villages

(Web Desk): Heavy rains in various districts of Punjab have caused river levels to rise.
According to sources, in Dera Ghazi Khan and Taunsa, the affected areas near the Indus River have been cut off by land, resulting in over 7,000 people and nearly 100 settlements being surrounded by floodwaters.
In DG Khan, at the Taunsa point, low-lying riverine areas (known as kacha areas) have been submerged, affecting more than 70 villages, bridges, and roads.
It is reported that over 150 residents from these areas have been moved to relief camps.
Meanwhile, in Khairpur Tamewali, a protective embankment has broken, raising fears of widespread damage to crops spread over hundreds of acres, causing distress among local residents.
