The public has strongly criticized K-Electric and the district administration for their failure to manage the situation

Karachi: The power crisis in the city has worsened following the recent rainfall. After Tuesday's rain, several areas of Karachi are experiencing prolonged blackouts, with power still not restored even after more than 36 hours in many localities.
According to details, North Nazimabad Block A and Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block 9 have been without electricity for 34 hours. In Safora Goth’s Scheme 33 societies, including City Villas, more than 36 hours have passed, yet power remains out.
Other affected areas of the city include Saudabad, Ghazi Goth, Khuda Ki Basti, Ibrahim Hyderi, Shanti Nagar, and Stadium Road, where electricity has been suspended for 28 hours.
In Federal B Area Block 14, there has been no electricity for the past 24 hours, leading to a severe water shortage. Residents report that the lack of water has disrupted daily life.
Additionally, Nanak Wara, Yousuf Goth, Ramswami, Keamari, and Azam Basti have also been without electricity for the last 22 hours, leaving residents in great distress. Locals have demanded immediate restoration of power from the concerned authorities.
Citizens say that power disappears as soon as it rains, and they are now spending a second consecutive night without electricity, with no one addressing the issue. The public has strongly criticized K-Electric and the district administration for their failure to manage the situation.
