Torrential rains likely to hit several areas today

Karachi: Heavy rain is expected in different parts of the country today.

On Tuesday, heavy rain lashed several areas of Punjab, including Gujarat, Sialkot, Jhelum, and Narowal.

According to the Meteorological Department, more heavy rain is expected in northeastern Punjab and Kashmir today.

The Meteorological Department says that there is a risk of flooding in low-lying areas of Narowal, Sialkot, Gujarat, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujranwala, and Lahore due to heavy rain.

Due to the rain, there is also a risk of flooding in local and rain-fed rivers, and landslides are a risk in Kashmir.
