Lahore: Torrential rains with thundershowers and landslides in the upper areas have been forecast in various cities of the country for the next few days from today.
According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains with thundershowers are expected in Islamabad and Rawalpindi from today to September 2.
The Meteorological Department has also forecast rain in central and southern Punjab from today to August 31. Cloudy weather will prevail in Multan, DG Khan, Rajanpur, Layyah, Bhakkar, Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, and Rahim Yar Khan.
Heavy rains are expected in the northern and northeastern districts of Punjab from August 30 to 31, with thundershowers likely in Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Gujrat, Narowal, Hafizabad, and Mandi Bahauddin.
Meanwhile, heavy rains are also expected in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from today to August 31, while landslides have been predicted in Malakand and Hazara divisions.
According to the Meteorological Department, rains are likely in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Buner, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Peshawar, Nowshera, Mardan, DI Khan, Tank, Kohat, and Bannu.
Meanwhile, heavy rains have also been predicted in Muzaffarabad, Bagh, Haveli, Kotli, Mirpur, and Bhimber in Azad Kashmir from today to September 2, while landslides have also been predicted in Gilgit-Baltistan along with rains.
The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has forecast rain in Karachi from tomorrow, with possible flooding in Karachi due to heavy rains.
According to the NDMA, rains are also expected in Thatta, Sujawal, Badin, and Tharparkar from August 30 to September 2, while heavy rains are expected in Hyderabad, Dadu, Sukkur, Ghotki, Larkana, Jacobabad, and Kashmore from August 30 to September 1.
