Landslide occurred on August 31 due to heavy rains

Sudan: A landslide in the African country of Sudan has killed 1,000 people.
A village has been destroyed by a landslide in the Marra mountain region of western Sudan, according to a foreign news agency.
The Sudanese army said that the landslide occurred on August 31 due to heavy rains.
It is pertinent to note that Sudan has been suffering from civil war since April 2023.
The Sudan Liberation Movement has appealed to the United Nations and other international organizations to provide assistance after this accident.
