There was moderate rain in North Nazimabad, New Karachi, and Orangi Town

Karachi: Today, it rained again in different areas of Karachi. Light and moderate rain in some areas made the weather pleasant. On the other hand, the previous rainwater is still on the roads in the city, while broken roads have made the lives of citizens even more difficult.
According to the details, it rained again in different areas of Karachi on Friday. There was moderate rain in North Nazimabad, New Karachi, and Orangi Town, while the weather around Baldia Town, Site Area, Golimar, and Garden also became pleasant due to rain.
Worsening situation after rain
On the other hand, even after two days since the end of the heavy rains in Karachi, the situation in many areas and on highways could not returned to normal. The roads, squares, intersections, and crossroads of many areas in the city are still presenting a pond scene, while on the other hand, broken roads, potholes, and cracks have made transportation difficult.
The traffic flow is being severely affected due to potholes on both sides of the road going from Pehlawan Goth to Gulistan-e-Johar, while the road coming from Safora to Khawar Chowk on the same road is showing the appearance of a river due to water being drained from the Safora underpass of the BRT.
Meanwhile, due to the construction work of Munawar Chowrangi underpass, potholes have also appeared on the recently laid alternative roads around it after the rain, due to which the traffic movement is severely affected.
Similarly, the main highway in Korangi Industrial Area, while in Scheme 33, Madras Chowk, Gulshan-e-Kaneez Fatima, and the surrounding roads are still waterlogged, while the sewers are overflowing badly. Due to the lack of timely drainage, the traffic flow on the highways is being severely affected. The citizens are facing great difficulties due to the dilapidated roads.
On the other hand, the causeway that had been causing the worst traffic jam in the Korangi area of Karachi for the past two days has been opened for light traffic. The highway from Baloch Colony to Korangi Industrial Area was closed for two days due to the water of the Malir River, which increased the travel time at the Jam Sadiq Bridge. However, the road from Korangi Crossing to Qayyumabad is still closed to traffic due to mud and debris.
