NADRA to launch facial recognition for elderly facing fingerprint issues
Juvenile card issued to those under 18 years of age is valid for up to 18 years


Karachi: NADRA spokesperson Shabahat Ali has said that they are bringing face recognition for the elderly people who are facing the problem of fingerprints.
Speaking to a private news channel, the NADRA spokesperson stated that the act of not identifying a child at birth is a violation of the child’s rights. The juvenile card issued to those under 18 years of age is valid for up to 18 years.
He said that if one of the parents is not present for any reason, then the identity card of one of the parents is required for the child’s identity card, while the identity card of one of the parents is required to get an identity card.
The spokesperson added that there are a total of 359 counters in all NADRA centers in Karachi that will be increased. Facial recognition is being introduced for the elderly who are facing the problem of fingerprints.
The spokesperson further said that in case of divorce, it is necessary to obtain a certificate from the union council.
