Modern data on extreme heat, humidity, and air pollution will be shared


Abu Dhabi: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has come up with a new plan to protect the public from extreme heat.
A five-year agreement has been signed between the Emirati National Center for Meteorology and the Public Health Center.
According to media reports, modern data on extreme heat, humidity, and air pollution will be shared, and the public will be given immediate digital information in the event of extreme heat anywhere in the country.
Media reports have stated that the public in the heat-affected areas will be informed on time, and the immediate awareness campaign will help reduce the effects of climate change.
It is pertinent to note that the temperature in the United Arab Emirates reached 51.8 degrees in August this year, which also made May and April the hottest months on record.
Notably, working in the sun is prohibited in the UAE from 12:30pm to 3:30pm.
