Islamabad: The second program of the “Science on Wheels” series, jointly organized by China Media Group (CMG) and Page Foundation, was successfully held at Islamabad Model School. The program was specifically designed for underprivileged and deserving girls educated by Page Foundation, aiming to promote scientific awareness, creative abilities, and cultural understanding.
The Guest of Honor, Fajar Rabia Pasha, Executive Director of Page Foundation, praised CMG's initiative, stating that the program's combination of scientific education, training, and positive entertainment is commendable. She added that such initiatives spark children's interest in learning and provide them with better opportunities.
Addressing the ceremony, Principal of Islamabad Model School, Dr Noor-ul-Ain, emphasized the importance of programs like “Science on Wheels” in today's world. She noted that introducing children to scientific knowledge is not only essential for individual development but also a step towards creating a better-educated society.
During the program, children were shown science-based educational videos, including topics on natural phenomena, environmental issues, and modern scientific inventions. The young students showed great interest in the videos, while a painting competition allowed them to express their creativity on important themes such as “Climate Change and Eco-Friendly Lifestyle”.
This program is part of CMG's “Science on Wheels” series, under which CMG's “Caravan of Knowledge” is visiting various schools and welfare institutions in Pakistan. The campaign aims to provide scientific and educational material to children who lack access to quality education due to limited resources.
The program is a practical reflection of Chinese President Xi Jinping's vision of a “Community with a Shared Future,” which emphasizes mutual cooperation, exchange of knowledge, and joint development among nations. CMG remains committed to promoting education, scientific awareness, and creative training through such initiatives.
