‘Immediate and unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid to the region must be ensured’

New York: United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres has described the humanitarian situation in Gaza as catastrophic.
In his address to the UN General Assembly, Guterres stated that the United Nations was established to promote global solidarity and maintain international peace, and it must serve as a guarantor of peace.
He said, “The humanitarian situation in Gaza has reached the worst level. Immediate and unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid to the region must be ensured.”
Meanwhile, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, in his speech, said that “Israel’s leadership has become uncontrollable, and the United Nations has failed to protect even its own personnel from Israeli attacks in Gaza.”
