(Web Desk): Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has offered to step down from office after the war with Russia ends.
According to a foreign news agency, the Ukrainian president made the remarks during an exclusive interview with a US-based news website, stating that he is willing to leave office once the war with Russia is over.
Zelensky said, “My goal is to end the war, not to remain in the presidency.”
It is worth noting that the Russia-Ukraine war, ongoing since 2022, has resulted in hundreds of thousands of military and civilian casualties on both sides. Despite numerous efforts at brokering a ceasefire, all attempts have so far failed.
