Illegal blockade of Gaza must end immediately, flotilla workers must be released: Pakistan
FO spokesperson said that Israel must be held accountable for its repeated violations

Islamabad: Pakistan has strongly condemned Israel’s blocking of the Global Sumud flotilla, saying that the arrest of workers on board the flotilla is a clear violation of international law.
The Foreign Ministry said that the flotilla included more than 40 civilian ships and 500 international workers. The workers were carrying humanitarian aid to the besieged people of Gaza. Israel’s action is tantamount to endangering the lives of innocent civilians.
The statement further said that two million Palestinians are affected by Israel’s continued aggression and illegal blockade, and blocking humanitarian aid is a serious violation of Israel’s responsibilities as an occupying power.
According to the Foreign Office, Pakistan demands an immediate and unconditional ceasefire and emphasizes the end of the illegal blockade of Gaza. All workers and volunteers on board the flotilla should be released immediately.
The Foreign Office spokesperson said that Israel must be held accountable for its repeated violations. Pakistan reiterates its unwavering support and solidarity with the Palestinian people and calls for the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state based on the pre-1967 borders.
The Foreign Office of Pakistan has said that Al-Quds Al-Sharif should be the capital of Palestine.
