Hamas ready for peace plan, tells Israel to stop bombing Gaza, says Trump

WASHINGTON D C (Monitoring Desk): US President Donald Trump said that he believed Hamas was ready for "lasting peace" and told Israel to stop bombing Gaza, after Hamas agreed to release hostages and accept some other terms in a US plan to end the war, but vexing issues like disarmament appeared unresolved

According to details, U.S. President Donald Trump stated in a message on social media that Israel must immediately halt its bombing to ensure the safe return of hostages. He said that carrying out such actions right now is extremely dangerous. “We are discussing the details — this is not just about Gaza, but about peace in the entire Middle East,” he said.

Trump further stated that Hamas accepting parts of his peace plan is proof that the organization is ready for sustainable peace.

In his statement, President Trump emphasized that this opportunity should be used not only to resolve the Gaza conflict but to establish long-awaited peace across the Middle East.

Trump said, “Today marks a significant breakthrough. This is a big and historic day whose results will soon become apparent. I thank all the countries that helped make this possible — including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Egypt, Jordan, and several others. All were united in one point: this war must end and peace must prevail. Let’s see how fruitful this turns out to be.”

Trump added, “We are extremely close to establishing peace. We must finalize this agreement. The United States and the mediating countries must seize this opportunity and bring both parties to the table to pave the way for a permanent ceasefire.” He warned that failure to make progress could lead to devastating consequences.

It is worth noting that President Trump's statement comes at a time when Hamas has accepted some parts of his 20-point peace plan but has expressed reservations about the proposed international oversight body named the "Board of Peace."
