PM Shebaz said that the government is always ready to address the concerns of their Kashmiri brothers۔


Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif welcomed the successful conclusion of negotiations in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) to end street protests, and praised the members of the federal government’s negotiating committee for their efforts.
According to details, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has welcomed the agreement reached between the government’s negotiation committee and the Joint Action Committee in Azad Kashmir.
In his statement PM praised the members of the negotiation committee, acknowledging both their individual and collective efforts and commended them for their hard work.
The Prime Minister called it a "major success for Pakistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir" and said that the restoration of peace and return to normalcy is a positive development. “Conspiracies and rumors have finally died down, and all issues were resolved amicably — Alhamdulillah,” he stated. He also thanked the members of the Joint Action Committee for the successful talks and congratulated all parties on the establishment of peace.
PM Shebaz said that the government is always ready to address the concerns of their Kashmiri brothers, emphasizing that public interest and peace remain top priorities.
He said we will continue to serve Azad Kashmir,” he said, urging the people not to believe in rumors. “We have always been and will continue to be the protectors of your rights,” he assured.
The Prime Minister further added, we have always protected the rights of our Kashmiri brothers and sisters, and we will continue to do so. The issues of Azad Kashmir have always remained a focus for us, and my government has prioritized resolving them.”
The remarks come after the details of the agreement between the federal ministers’ committee and the Joint Action Committee (JAC) were made public during a joint press conference in Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Kashmir.
According to the agreement, FIRs under anti-terrorism laws will be filed in cases of fatalities during violent incidents.
Compensation will be provided to the families of those killed and to the injured, as per the agreement.
Under the agreement, two education boards will be established in Muzaffarabad and Poonch Division within 30 days.
On this occasion, Federal Minister Ahsan Iqbal termed the outcome of the negotiations a victory for Azad Kashmir, Pakistan, and democracy. Meanwhile, the Awami Action Committee expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir for their special interest in resolving the issue. The committee emphasized that this was an internal matter that had been resolved in the best possible manner, asserting that no foreign country would be allowed to interfere in their affairs.
