In Punjab, more than 23 million children under the age of five will be vaccinated against polio


Islamabad: The government has decided to start the national polio eradication campaign from October 13.
The National Emergency Operations Center (NEOC) says that the national polio eradication campaign will continue across the country from October 13 to 19. During the polio campaign, more than 45 million children will be vaccinated against polio.
According to the National EOC, during the campaign starting from October 13, additional doses of vitamin A will also be given to children to boost their immunity. More than 400,000 trained polio workers will carry out their responsibilities during the campaign starting from October 13.
In Punjab, more than 23 million children, and in Sindh, more than 16 million children under the age of five, will be vaccinated against polio from October 13 to 19.
In Balochistan, more than 2.6 million children, and in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, more than 7.2 million children under the age of five will be vaccinated against polio from October 13 to 19.
In Islamabad, more than 460,000 children, and in Kashmir, more than 760,000 children under the age of five will be vaccinated against polio on the same dates.
More than 280,000 children under the age of five will be vaccinated against polio in Gilgit-Baltistan from October 13 to 19. Parents have been urged to make it mandatory for their children to be vaccinated against polio during the nationwide campaign.
