Paris: French Prime Minister Sebastien Lacourne has resigned from his office.
According to a foreign news agency, French Prime Minister Lacourne resigned 26 days after taking office, which was approved by President Macron.
Earlier in September 2025, French Prime Minister Francois Bayrou failed to win a vote of confidence from parliament, which led to the government being ousted by parliament for the third time in France’s democratic history.
Later, French President Macron nominated a close ally and the country’s Defense Minister, Sebastien Lacourne, as the new prime minister on September 10, 2025.
