Hamas delegation currently in Egypt is working to remove all obstacles to reaching an agreement that aligns with the aspirations of the people of Gaza

(Web Desk): The Palestinian resistance group Hamas has stated that it is seeking an agreement to end the war in Gaza based on former U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan, but emphasized that some of its core demands remain unchanged.
Senior Hamas official Fawzi Barhoum, in a statement marking the second anniversary of the October 7, 2023 attacks, said that the Hamas delegation currently in Egypt is working to remove all obstacles to reaching an agreement that aligns with the aspirations of the people of Gaza.
He stressed that any deal must guarantee a complete end to the war and the full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza — demands that Israel has previously rejected.
Barhoum further stated that Hamas is seeking an agreement that includes a permanent and comprehensive ceasefire, the unconditional entry of humanitarian aid, the immediate return of displaced Palestinians to their homes, a prisoner exchange, and the reconstruction of Gaza under the supervision of a Palestinian-led technocratic administration.
He also strongly criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, warning of “the war criminal Netanyahu’s attempts to sabotage the ongoing negotiation process—just as he intentionally undermined all previous ceasefire talks.”
It is worth noting that indirect negotiations between Israel and Hamas began yesterday in the Egyptian city of Sharm el-Sheikh to discuss a potential Gaza ceasefire agreement.
