Overseas Pakistanis sent $3.18 billion in September


Karachi: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has released the figures on remittances sent by overseas Pakistanis.
According to the State Bank report, overseas Pakistanis sent $3.18 billion home in September, $750 million from Saudi Arabia, $670 million from the United Arab Emirates, and $450 million from the United Kingdom in September.
The State Bank said that $2.31 billion was sent from Saudi Arabia and $1.98 billion from the United Arab Emirates in the first three months.
According to the State Bank report, $1.36 billion was sent from the United Kingdom in the first three months, $1.28 billion from Europe, while Pakistanis living in the United States sent $800 million in the first three months.
The State Bank said that remittances of $9.53 billion were received in the first quarter of the fiscal year, and these remittances in the first quarter of the fiscal year are 8.4 percent more than the first quarter of the previous year.
