Sindh Rangers have arrested three most wanted terrorists belonging to the militant group Fitna al-Khawarij during an intelligence-based operation in Karachi’s Mango Pir Road, Kunwari Colony area.
According to a Rangers spokesperson, the arrested suspects have been identified as Zaidullah alias Zaido, Noor Zada, and Hazrat Usman.
Officials revealed that the detainees were close associates of Khawarij leader Shams al-Qayyum alias Zawil alias Zafran. During interrogation, the suspects confessed to providing local residents’ phone numbers to Shams al-Qayyum, who would then make extortion calls using the information.
The Rangers spokesperson further stated that the arrested men admitted to involvement in extortion and land grabbing activities. It was also disclosed that the brothers of Noor Zada and Hazrat Usman had previously been killed while working for the same Khawarij network.
Moreover, Zaidullah alias Zaido was wanted by the Excise Korangi Police and the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) for multiple criminal cases.
The arrested suspects have been handed over to the police for further legal proceedings.
