Islamabad: Pakistan continues to report a share surge in Covid-19 deaths as threat of delta variant looms large in Pakistan.


According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 4,856 cases of coronavirus were reported while 81 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 24,085.
The total number of confirmed cases reached to 1,080,360.
As many as 972,098 patients have recovered from the disease with 4,530 critical cases.
Punjab
The number of patients swelled to 367,054 in the province with 11,256 causalities.
Sindh
The number of infections has surged to 403,964 in the province, while the death toll has reached 6,275.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
The confirmed cases have surged to 149,532 in the province with 4,588 casualties.
Balochistan
There are 31,298 confirmed cases while 332 patients have died from the infection so far.
AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan
There are 27,899 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 654. On the other hand, there are 8,941 cases in GB with 158 coronavirus deaths.
Islamabad
There are 91,672 cases in the capital city while 822 people have lost their lives.
