PTI founder is serving a sentence for his crimes and that turning his illness into a political issue is a criminal attempt:Tariq Fazal


Islamabad: Senior leader of Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) and Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry has said that politicizing the pain of the PTI founder is a criminal act. He stated that the PTI founder received medical treatment at PIMS on the instructions of jail authorities and the government, and that all possible medical care will continue to be provided.
Speaking to the media, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said that if any prisoner is not being properly cared for, the responsibility lies with them. “We have no personal enmity with the PTI founder; our differences with him are purely political. It was the PTI founder who gave political differences the color of personal hostility.”
During the press conference, he said that the PTI founder is serving a sentence for his crimes and that turning his illness into a political issue is a criminal attempt. “Even his illness is being politicized,” he added.
He further stated that treatment at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) was carried out on the instructions of jail authorities and the government. A super specialist also compiled a medical report regarding the PTI founder’s health. He added that the Supreme Court of Pakistan Chief Justice is personally overseeing the case, and wherever directed, an eye examination will be arranged.
Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said the matter is sensitive and that presenting facts in a distorted manner amounts to criminal negligence. “The best eye specialists will examine him, and we will ensure every possible treatment for his eye,” he said.
He added that protest is the right of parliamentarians, but the case should not be sensationalized or politicized.
