According to details, a notification has been issued by the Prime Minister's Office in this regard.
The notification states that due to the ongoing Gulf oil crisis and the government's declared austerity measures, it has been decided that the Pakistan Day parade and all related events will not be held on March 23, 2026. However, the day will be celebrated with simple flag-hoisting ceremonies in a dignified and respectful manner.
The issued notification further mentions that this step has been taken to ensure that the nation's commitment to the ideals of Pakistan Day, its resilience, and unwavering resolve, along with the broader austerity policy, are maintained.
According to the notification, all ministries, divisions, and departments are directed to observe the occasion with simplicity and dignity, so that despite limited events, the significance of the day and its true message is preserved.
