Web Desk: The Christian community in Pakistan, along with believers around the world, is celebrating the festival of Easter today with great religious enthusiasm.
According to details, candlelight processions were held in various cities across the country before sunrise, while special prayers are being offered in churches. Worshippers are praying for national stability, peace, and harmony.
Strict security arrangements have also been put in place outside churches on this occasion.
Chairman Senate Yousaf Raza Gilani extended heartfelt Easter greetings to the Christian community, stating that the festival conveys a message of love, hope, and spiritual renewal, and encouraged prayers for the country’s peace and prosperity.
Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also congratulated the community, saying Easter symbolizes hope, love, sacrifice, and new beginnings, while promoting tolerance and peace.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz emphasized religious harmony, love, and unity in her message, while Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan also extended Easter greetings to the Christian community.
