Condemnation from Pakistani leadership after shooting incident at White House Correspondents’ Dinner
The shooting incident took place during the annual dinner held in honor of journalists at the White House. President Trump remained unharmed, while the attacker was apprehended.


Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have strongly condemned the shooting incident that occurred during a dinner hosted in honor of media representatives associated with the White House.
According to details, the President, in his statement, strongly denounced the firing incident at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner and expressed relief that U.S. President Donald Trump and the First Lady remained safe. He described the tragic incident as a heinous act of terrorism and said that no amount of condemnation would be sufficient.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in a message posted on X, also expressed deep sorrow over the incident. However, he said it was reassuring to know that Donald Trump, the First Lady, and other participants were safe. He added that his prayers and best wishes are with them and that he prays for their continued safety and well-being.
It is worth mentioning that the shooting incident took place during the annual dinner held in honor of journalists at the White House. President Trump remained unharmed, while the attacker was apprehended.

According to foreign media reports, the incident occurred during the event held at a hotel, where sudden gunfire caused panic in the hall. The attacker reportedly fired four to six shots. Secret Service personnel immediately secured the U.S. President, the First Lady, Vice President JD Vance, and cabinet members, moving them to a safe location.
Approximately 2,600 people were present at the event. Following the shooting, authorities directed that the event be immediately concluded and the hotel evacuated.
