Lahore: The half-brother of slain Pakistani model Nayab on Sunday confessed to strangling her to death for "family honor".

After thorough investigation, Model Nayab's half-brother, Aslam turned out to be the killer who murdered model sister over "honor".
“Nayab was strangled to death and then stripped naked to give the color of sexual assault,” said police.
The A 29-year-old model was strangled to death at her house in Lahore’s DHA Phase IV on July 11. Nayab was unmarried and lived alone. She had two half-brothers.
As per initial reports the woman was strangled to death and the window of her room’s washroom was broken.
The woman’s step-brother told the police that he had been calling her for two days but her phone remained unanswered.
“When I went to her house on Sunday, she was lying on the floor,” said brother.
The police have registered an FIR against unidentified men under sections of murder.
In Pakistan, nearly 1,000 women are murdered each year for violating conservative norms on love and marriage. The so-called "honor killings" are often carried out by family members.
Such killings are considered murder. But Islamic law in Pakistan allows a murder victim's family to pardon the killer, which often allows those convicted of honor killings to escape punishment.
