According to security sources, Field Marshal Asim Munir is scheduled to meet with several senior Iranian officials during the visit.
It is noteworthy that Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is also currently in Iran. He met Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and held detailed discussions on regional de-escalation and efforts to bring an end to the conflict involving the United States.
According to a news agency, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also discussed draft proposals aimed at ending the Iran–US conflict.
Iranian media reported that both sides deliberated on possible mechanisms for restoring peace in the region.
Meanwhile, diplomatic sources said that Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi will remain in Tehran today as well, where he continues to hold important meetings regarding the Iran–US negotiations.
