Hangzhou: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed hope that the next round of negotiations between Iran and the United States will soon be hosted by Pakistan.
According to details, in a statement shared on social media, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that Pakistan will continue its efforts for peace in the region and expressed optimism that the next round of Iran-US talks would soon take place under Pakistan’s hosting.
The Prime Minister stated that US President Donald Trump’s contacts with the leaders of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Türkiye, Egypt, the UAE, Jordan, and Pakistan proved beneficial. He added that Field Marshal Asim Munir represented Pakistan during a telephone conversation and praised his tireless efforts throughout the process.
In the statement, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan appreciates President Donald Trump’s peace efforts, noting that the US President spoke with leaders of Islamic countries over the phone to promote regional peace.
He further added that Field Marshal Asim Munir effectively represented Pakistan during discussions with President Trump and described his efforts as highly commendable.
It is worth mentioning that US President Donald Trump recently stated that most matters with Iran had been settled and that an agreement could be announced soon.
