Islamabad: At least 1.4 million people in Pakistan received a coronavirus vaccine in one day – the country’s highest one-day total since the shots began rolling out in February.

The news was shared by Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar on his official twitter handler.
Umar, who also heads National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) said that for the first time the authorities were able administer this much doses.
On his official twitter handle, the NCOC chief wrote, “New daily vaccination rate record set yesterday with total vaccinations exceeding 1.4 million”.
“With the expanded vaccine obligatory regime going into effect by September 1, now is the time to get vaccinated if you still have not been,” he added.
