Senior Punjab minister Abdul Aleem Khan decides to resign citing 'personal reasons'
Lahore: Senior Punjab Minister Abdul Aleem Khan, who is also carrying portfolio of the provincial food minister, resigned from the his post on Saturday citing personal reasons.
Sources told GNN that the minister had earlier tendered his resignation to Prime Minister Imran Khan around a month ago, but the latter asked the former to continue.
Abdul Aleem Khan was quoted as having said in the past that he would be unable to continue owing to his personal engagements.
A source associated with Mr Khan said the resgination has yet to be accepted by Prime Minister Imran Khan and the Punajb government.
He said the minister had contacted the premier again as a reminder about the acceptance of his resignation.
