Islamabad: Interior Minister, Sheikh Rasheed on Tuesday expressed confidence that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) is going to be victorious in the upcoming Senate elections.

During a news conference, the minister suggested to Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), an 11 party opposition alliance, to extend their long march till the month of Ramadan.
He said that Former Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif's passport will expired at midnight tonight, and if he wants to return to the country, the government can issue him permission within 72 hours.
"If Nawaz Sharif wants to return to Pakistan, he will not be stopped," said Sheikh Rasheed.
The minister also stated that both Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz have been on the Exit-Control List (ECL) since August 2018 and as per law, the person whose name is on the ECL can neither be issued a new passport nor can his existing one be renewed.
While talking about senate elections, the former railway minister stated that there will be no surprises as Prime Minister Imran Khan will win the elections.
“Those who are saying a surprise is on the way are just uttering meaningless words,” he stressed.
