New York: The yearly session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) is all set to kickstart on September 21 whereas the house has been opened today September 14.

UNGA is the main deliberative and policymaking body of the United Nations (UN) that allows the representatives from 193 members states to sit and discuss matters of global concern.
"76th session offers the UN a chance to show its purpose again," said Alanna O’Malley, chair of United Nations Studies in Peace and Justice at Leiden University in the Netherlands.
This session is of higher value this year because there are many events pertaining to human rights, racism, health crisis, international law, food security and many more predicaments that will come under the debate.
The post-pandemic recovery and resilience shown by different states will also come under light during this year's session.
