Lahore: In an outrageous incident, a teenage boy stabbed his friend to death in Lahore. However, the suspect traced within two hours after committing crime.
As per preliminary reports, the 14-year-old accused identified as Raza stabbed his 15-year-old friend Talha Irfan because he wanted to marry deceased’s cousin.
Raza had also sent a letter to the house of victim's cousin, but the girl's family refused.
According to Director Inspector General (DIG) Operations Sohail Chaudhry, 15 call was received at about 7pm about Talha Irfan whose dead body was found from basement of an under construction house.
The deceased had, reportedly come from Faisalabad with family and was staying with relatives.
“He had no known enmity with anybody,” said police.
The officer in charge said, that the boy was mysteriously murdered with a sharp object which slit his neck. The body was shifted to the morgue for autopsy.
“The case was totally blind. There were no CCTV cameras covering crime scene. PFSA was called to collect evidence,” police added.
Within 2 hours the case was traced, accused was taken to PS Barki where he confessed during interrogation before.
His confession video has also being shared.
Burki police have registered a case of murder against the accused and further investigation is underway.
