Rawalpindi: A police Assistant Sub Inspector got martyred and a drug dealer was killed in crossfire between the police and drug peddlers in Civil Lines area of Rawalpindi on Friday, police said.

A police team conducted a raid against drug peddlers near Mureer Hassan locality where suspects opened fire on police.
ASI Aslam Farooqi, 28, lost his life while criminal Majid was also killed.

According to GNN correspondent Idrees Abbasi, the crossfire took place between the police and suspects.
The bodies were shifted to DHQ hospital.
Punjab police chief took notice of the incident and ordered the Rawalpindi police high ups to arrest the suspects as quickly as possible.
