Just days after another firearm incident at the same school, one person was fatally shot and seven others were wounded at the Louisiana school.

As per preliminary reports, the shooting happened around 1 a.m. Sunday on the campus quad.

No motive for the shooting has been discovered so far.

The person who died wasn’t enrolled at the school, and the one victim who is a student was treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.

The victims’ identities haven’t been released yet.

It is the second shooting in less than a week— although the incidents are not believed to be connected -- at the historically Black college in the southern US state.

Following the unfortunate incident, classes and homecoming activities (annual football game accompanied by parties) were canceled.

The Louisiana State Police are currently seeking the suspect involved in the shooting.

According to a Facebook post, they are also still looking for Jatavious Carroll, aka ‘Rabbit’ wanted for a shooting on the same campus just four days ago, October 13.
