15,000 illegal immigrants arrested in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh: Saudi government has resumed major crackdown against foreign immigrants residing illegally, about 15,000 illegal immigrants were arrested from across the country in one week.
According to Arab media, 14,932 illegal immigrants were arrested between November 4 and 10 during crackdowns by the Saudi government. Authorities confirmed that 7511 person have been caught violating residency laws.
In addition, 5,872 people have been arrested for violating border laws and 1,549 foreigners for violating labor laws. Authorities say 66 percent of those arrested are from Yemen, 32 percent from Ethiopia, and 2 percent from other countries.
