Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan reaffirmed his government's resolve to establish a Madina-like state, saying that establishing an Islamic welfare state is the only purpose of life.
In an interview with renowned American scholar Sheikh Hamza Yousuf, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that no society can move forward without law, and making Pakistan a welfare state in the style of Madinah is the goal of my life.
PM Imran Khan said that he faced several setbacks during his 20 years of political struggle and powerful people tried to do his character assassination.
Prime Minister said that during this struggle, fake news and rumors were promoted against him to insult him.
Mafias rule politics of the country and due to such reasons people are afraid of joining politics, he added.
Imran Khan said that ego destroys any person, it is very important to have honor not wealth; a rich man is the one who does not trade his conscience over anything.
He further said that society cannot move forward without rule of law, rule of law is needed in our country because without merit the elite seizes resources. Welfare schemes have been launched to lift people out of poverty.
