The church has a capacity of 2,300 people

Bahrain: The largest Catholic Church ever opened in the Arab world, which includes Bahrain, the UAE, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and parts of Iraq and Jordan.
The Cathedral of the Lady of Arabia is a church built in Bahrain. “We are very happy for this church,” said Sharbel Fayyaz, a Bahraini resident and pastor of the church. Certainly it will be beneficial for the spiritual health and needs of the people.
The church has a capacity of 2,300 people. The church is designed to accommodate the Christian minority in the Muslim-majority region, but Pastor Sherbel says it is for both Christians and non-Christians because everyone is a servant of God.
According to Vatican figures, there are 80,000 Catholics in Bahrain, most of them from Asian countries, India and the Philippines.
