Paris: The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) is expected to make a final decision today, whether to retain Pakistan on grey list as it wraps up its four-day plenary meeting which began on Monday.

The FATF president will give a press briefing on the outcomes of the FATF plenary at 9:30 pm (16:30 GMT) today.
The four-day meeting of the global anti-money laundering body, began on February 22 and today is its last day.
The meeting will review Pakistan’s measures against money laundering and decide whether it has done enough to exit grey-list.
Pakistan’s evaluation at the plenary would be based on 27-point action plan.
Pakistan sent its report to FATF for consideration according to which Pakistan has shown improvement in compliance on anti-money laundering and combating financing terror (AML/CFT) systems.
Pakistan has been shown improving compliance on two out of 40 recommendations of the FATF on effectiveness of AML/CFT systems.
Ahead of the plenary the FATF had updated the overall performance of all countries.
It is pertinent to mention here that Pakistan is under FATF grey list since June 2018.
