Motorway police have urged drivers to take all precautions when driving in the fog

Lahore: Various cities of Punjab remained under dense blanket of fog on night between Wednesday and Thursday, paralysing routine life and disrupted normal road, rail and air traffic to and from various cities.
The flight operation at the Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore and Faisalabad International Airport was disrupted as the visibility was very low and several incoming or outgoing flights from both cities were either delayed or cancelled.
The thick layer of fog has badly affected the flow of road traffic in several cities of Punjab.
According to a Motorway spokesman, the Motorway sections from Lahore to Sialkot (M11), Motorway Section from Lahore to Sheikhupura (M2), Motorway Section from Lahore to Samundri (M3) have been closed as visibility was very poor.
The Motorway police have urged drivers to take all precautions when driving in the fog. Moreover, they have asked the drivers to drive slow and switch on the fog lights to avoid fatal accidents due to poor visibility.
The Motorway police have also requested the people to stay home and avoid unnecessary travelling.
