Rs. 20 increase in petrol rates suggested for people reeling under inflation
Lahore: Government is all set to drop petrol bomb on inflation-hit nation has petroleum prices are likely to increase by Rs. 20.7 per liter.

According to GNN, Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has proposed to increase petrol price by Rs. 20.7 and has sent a summary in this regard to the Petroleum Division.
If implemented, the price of petrol and diesel will be increased by Rs 6 per liter on the basis of levy.
The current levy on petrol is Rs 17.97 per liter while the current levy on diesel is Rs 18.36 per liter.
According to sources, the final decision on petroleum prices products will be taken by Finance Ministry in consultation with Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Earlier on January 15, OGRA had proposed to increase petroleum rates by Rs. 13 per liter but PM had approved Rs. 3.20 increase in prices.
