“Baby Shark” became the most-viewed YouTube video of all time as it has achieved huge milestone, becoming the first YouTube video to surpass 10 billion views.

Pinkfong, the South Korean company behind the viral "Baby Shark" announced Thursday (January 13) that the poem overtook several hits as the most popular clip, fetching 10 billion views on YouTube for the first time in history.

This catchy tune released back in June 2016 has been beloved worldwide as it received immense attention from not only the children but even the adults. Yet, the song’s impact never faded with the earworm hit.

There’s also a Baby Shark show on Nickelodeon and a Baby Shark movie.

In 2021, the video became the most-viewed YouTube video of all time in November, and now it has become the first YouTube video to surpass 10 billion views.

Videos from South Korea have set milestones on YouTube as in December 2012, Psy's "Gangnam Style" became the first video to hit 1 billion views and now "Baby Shark" is the first video to reach 10 billion views on the platform.

Hence, ‘Baby Shark’ is a cultural touchstone at this point.
