PSX sees highest surge, soaring above 71000 points

The stock market increased by 686 points after which the 100 index is trading at the level of 72,046 points.

Karachi: After the formation of the new government, the confidence of the business class has increased, the stock market 100 index also crossed the psychological limit of 72,000 while making another history.

On the third day of the business week, the stock market started in the positive zone. The stock market increased by 686 points after which the 100 index is trading at the level of 72,046 points.

On the other hand, the value of the dollar continues to increase. Even today at the beginning of the business day, the price of the dollar increased by Rs0.12 in the interbank, after which the dollar is selling at the rate of Rs278.50 in the interbank.

PDMA issues alert regarding rains

The stormy rains can be fall in the districts of south Punjab from April 26 to 28.

Lahore: The provincial disaster management authority (PDMA) Punjab has issued alert of more rains. 

PDMA’s spokesperson stated that the western airs will be entered in Punjab on April 24 while the stormy rains can be fall in the districts of south Punjab from April 26 to 28.  

However, the spokesperson said that there is likely to snow fall and stormy rain with lightening in Punjab by April 29. 

There is likely to rain fall in Murree, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Kasur, Okara and Faisalabad.

SC to hear appeals against annulment of civilians’ trials in military courts

At the last hearing, the Supreme Court asked the Attorney General for the details of the accused who were sentenced to three years by military courts.

Islamabad: The Supreme Court Wednesday will hear the appeals against the annulment of trials of civilians in military courts.

According to the details, a six-member bench headed by Justice Aminuddin will hear the appeals against the annulment of trials of civilians in military courts today at 11:30am. Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar, Justice Hassan Azhar Rizvi, Justice Shahid Waheed, Justice Musarat Hilali and Justice Irfan Saadat Khan are also part of the bench.

At the last hearing, the Supreme Court asked the Attorney General for the details of the accused who were sentenced to three years by military courts.

The court had ordered the release of 20 accused who were sentenced to one year before Eid. The Attorney General had submitted the details of the accused who were released on Eid-ul-Fitr in the Supreme Court.
