Islamabad: The finance minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has met with the American foreign department officers.
According to the details, assistant secretary Donald Lu and principal deputy assistant secretary Elizabeth Horst were also present in the meeting.
In the meeting, the American investment’s opportunity has been pointed out in the departments of information technology, advanced sources, agriculture and others.
However, an affirmation has been done between both countries to make the close coordination with the banking sector and American international development finance corporation for the mutual progress.

Washington: Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb met with US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lowe and US State Department Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary Elizabeth Horst.
The meeting was held at the World Bank headquarters, where the finance minister briefed the US officials on Pakistan's reform agenda, and reiterated Washington's determination to further strengthen Pakistan-US relations.
Alternative energy, agriculture, climate and tech industry issues were also discussed on this occasion.
Muhammad Aurangzeb said that broad tax base, streamlining and privatization of energy sector is a priority, stressing on upgrading Pakistan-US economic partnership.
The Finance Minister also discussed investment opportunities in IT, agriculture and other sectors.
During the meeting, it was agreed to work together with the US International Development Finance Corporation and EXIM Bank, cooperation with International Monetary Fund (IMF) for a new loan program was also requested.
Apart from this, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb also met with Pakistan Staff Association of World Bank and IMF. He informed the association about the reform agenda of the government.
Broadening of tax base, reforms in energy sector, privatization, digitization, public private partnership were discussed during the meeting.
The finance minister added that financial discipline is strictly followed for the recovery and sustainability of the economy.

Israel to take necessary steps in its defense

According to the details, Israel’s prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with the German and British foreign ministers in which he said that he wants to clear that Israel will take the decision by itself regarding its defense.
He said that Israel will take each and every step which it will be considered is right for its defense. After the strikes of Iran, including America, Britain and the other countries have pleaded Israel to be calm and not to increase the intensity in the war with Gaza.
British foreign minister James Cameron said that it looks like Israel has prepared to give response of the Iran’s drones and missile attacks.
