CTD releases report on terrorism incidents in KP

According to the report, 837 militants have been arrested in the incidents of terrorism.

Peshawar: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has released a report on the incidents of terrorism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the CTD report, 806 incidents of terrorism have taken place in the province so far this year and in 243 incidents of terrorism, police have been targeted.

The report stated that the highest number of terrorist incidents occurred in DI Khan (132), Khyber (103), Peshawar (89), North Waziristan (86) and South Waziristan (50).

According to the report, 837 militants have been arrested in the incidents of terrorism, of which 245 militants were arrested from Peshawar, 57 from Khyber, 58 from Kohat and 39 from Charsadda.

Toshakhana case: Imran Khan's bail extended till Dec 6

Rawalpindi: The Accountability Court Judge Mohammad Basheer extended the bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan's bail till December 06 in the Toshakhana case.

According to the details, the bail please of Al-Qadir Trust case, 190 million pounds scam and Tosha Khana case were heard in Adiala Jail.

The hearing on the petitions was conducted by Judge Muhammad Bashir of the Accountability Court who also extended Bushra Bibi's interim bail in the Al-Qadir Trust and £190 million case till December 6.

Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecutor Muzaffar Abbasi appeared in the court along with a team of lawyers.

Apart from this, Chairman PTI and Bushra Bibi's lawyer Latif Khosa also appeared in the court.

Int'l Day of Solidarity with Palestinians observed today

The International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People is being observed today (Wednesday).

In 1977, the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) had called for annual observance of the day.       

The statement issued on the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said Palestinians in Gaza are suffering a humanitarian catastrophe.

UN Secretary-General pointed out that almost 1.7 million people have been forced from their home in Gaza Strip.

He called for unrestricted access to lifesaving aid, the release of all hostages, the protection of civilians, and an end to violations of international humanitarian law.
