Lutz: Former US President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said he should not have left the White House after losing the 2020 presidential election.

Speaking at a rally in Lutz, Pennsylvania, Donald Trump stated that he did not accept defeat and the results of the 2020 presidential election.

Trump added: “When I was leaving the office, our border was the most secure in history. We did a great job. We had a lot but today there are hundreds of lawyers standing at every polling booth”.

After the 2020 presidential elections in the United States, Donald Trump refused to accept his defeat against Joe Biden and the results of the election and promoted conspiracy theories about the election.

In a 2022 book by New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman, it was reported that at the time, Donald Trump told his aides that he would not leave the White House and while living in it, he would not let the coming President Joe Biden take over.

According to Haberman, at that time, Donald Trump told one of his aides, “I'm just not going to leave here, we're not leaving”. To another aide, Trump said, “How can you leave when you've won the election”?

It is pertinent to note that the US presidential elections are on November 5, in which the Democratic candidate Kamala Harris and the Republican candidate Donald Trump will compete.
