Lahore: Paksitan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Faisal Javed said that party found Imran Khan would contest elections from Mianwali and would become the next prime minister.

Faisal Javed also urged the relevant authorities to set free all the innocent inmates including Imran Khan and his spouse.

He expressed these words while talking to the reporters on Saturday.

The PTI leader said Imran Khan is committed to the rule of law and justice, and advocated for a judicial inquiry into the May 9 riots. He stated that those found guilty should be convicted in accordance with the law, emphasizing a commitment to surrender before the principles of law and justice.

Talking about the allegations of rigging, Javed called for investigation into the discrepancies in Form-45 and Form-47. He emphasized upon the importance of justice and transparency, saying that fairness and justice were integral to all aspects of the state including the economy.

Celebrating PTI's victory with 180 seats despite rigging and forged polls, Javed emphasized the need for a government formed with a public mandate, expressing confidence in its success.

Javed declared that all cases against the PTI founder were baseless and fabricated. He anticipated the founder's imminent release, citing appeals filed by lawyers in the courts as grounds for qualification once again.

Court issues non-bailable arrest warrant of Khurram Nawaz

Islamabad: The district and session courts issued non-bailable arrest warrant of newly appointed member of national assembly Khurram Shahzad Nawaz.

According to the details, judicial magistrate Shaista Khan Kundi heard the case against Khurram Shahzad Nawaz, Asad Umar and Ali Nawaz Awan.

The court canceled the arrest warrants of Asad Umar and Ali Nawaz Awan after they both surrendered before the judge. Both were appeared in the court with their lawyers.

However, Khurram Nawaz's arrest warrant issued for not appearing despite the court summoned him.

Apart from this, Asad Umar and Ali Nawaz Awan also filed petitions for acquittal from the case, on which the court called for arguments and adjourned further hearing till February 26.

Quetta: Governor Balochistan Malik Abdul Wali Kakar summoned the Balochistan Assembly session at the Assembly chamber on Wednesday at three in the afternoon.

During the session, newly elected members of the Balochistan Assembly will take oath.

On Saturday, newly elected members of the Sindh assembly took oath during a session of the house in Karachi.

The session was chaired by speaker Sindh assembly Agha Siraj Ahmed Durani who administered oath to the members elect.

At the start of the session, a documentary was also shown in the house to pay tribute to former Prime Minister Muhatarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed in the house.

On Friday, the newly elected members of the Punjab Assembly took oath oath while the election of the speaker and the deputy speaker is due on Saturday (today).
