Pakistan-Indonesia joint military exercises conclude
Elang Strike-II is second exercise between both the countries
Rawalpindi: A joint military training exercise between Pakistan Army and Indonesian armed forces at National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC), Pabbi, concluded on Monday.
Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement that exercise Elang Strike-II is second exercise in Counter Terrorism domain between both the countries.
The week-long exercise commenced on September 8. 2024. The exercise was aimed at mutually beneficial sharing of experience and training methodology between the two armies which have strong brotherly relations.
At the closing ceremony, General Officer Commanding 17 Division was the Chief Guest. Colonel Budi Wirman, Defence Attaché of Indonesia also attended the closing ceremony.
The troops displayed highest standards of professional excellence during the conduct of exercise.

Govt seeking consensus on constitutional package, NA Told
Law minister says it will be our effort to evolve consensus on the document
Islamabad: Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar said on Monday that the process of talks has been started with the Parliamentary Parties in the Senate and National Assembly on the constitutional package.
Speaking in the National Assembly, he said it will be our effort to evolve consensus on the document.
Tarar asked the opposition parties to come up with positive recommendations instead of undue criticisms, assuring these will be accommodated. He said our aim should be to provide relief to the people suffering over the last seven decades or so.
The Law Minister maintained that the legislation in line with the constitutional structure is the prerogative of the Parliament.
He said the proposed package envisaged formation of the judicial commission as per the spirit of the 18th amendment and it was proposed to empower the judicial commission to evaluate the performance of the judges of the high court.
PPP Leader Naveed Qamar said discussions on the constitutional package should be held in a congenial environment. He urged the Opposition to sit together and work for the betterment of the country.
Shahida Begum of JUI (F) said they will be part of any good legislation. She said time warrants that there should be consensus on legislation.
Dr Farooq Sattar of MQM said strengthening local governments should also be made part of the constitutional package.
Those who also spoke on the occasion were Asad Qaiser and Mahmood Achakzai.

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said the government is removing all obstacles in the way of foreign investment in the country.
He was talking to Chairman of the globally renowned petroleum company Gunvor Group Torbjorn Tornqvist and Regional Vice President of Total Energies Mehmet Celepoglu, who called on him in Islamabad today.
The Prime Minister said Pakistan's economy is stabilizing and moving towards development.
He highlighted that swift reforms are being made to increase investment and business activities in the country.
The Prime Minister emphasized the continuation of the positive outcomes of prudent economic and business policies.
The Chairman of Gunvor Group expressed a strong interest in investing in Pakistan's petroleum sector.
The Prime Minister was briefed that Gunvor Group has already signed an agreement to acquire 50 percent of Total Parco's shares in Pakistan.
The Prime Minister instructed the relevant authorities to provide every possible facility to Gunvor Group for its investment in Pakistan.
