Rawalpindi: Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed Friday said that he was planning to take retirement from politics on Monday (April 4), however, he took U-turn from his decision as he did not want to leave Prime Minister Imran Khan during difficult times.

While addressing an event in Rawalpindi today, the Federal Minister said Imran Khan will not be defeated by elements who looted the country for decades and are now united to oust his government.

“Public reject the elements who sell their conscience,” he added.

Terming next two days ‘significant’, the minister said political situation in Pakistan can take a new turn. 

Pakistan needs transparent elections and it would held right after Ramazan, said sheikh.

He further added that the lawmakers who had took bribes should come on the Election Day to see how this would bring honest people forefront.

Voting on no-confidence motion against Imran Khan will be held on Sunday.
